THREE UNY STUDENTS SELECTED TO JOIN APPLE DEVELOPER ACADEMY IN BATAM

A brilliant achievement came from three students of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) who were successfully selected to be part of the 100 participants of the learning and training program at Apple Developer Academy @Infinite Learning, Batam. Annurdien Rasyid from the Informatics Engineering Education Study Program, Enrico Olivian Maricar, and Maria Bernadetha Charlotta from the Information Technology Study Program, Electronics and Informatics Engineering Education Department, got this opportunity to hone their skills and knowledge in developing innovative applications.

Apple Developer Academy, an initiative of Apple Inc, is committed to empowering the Indonesian economy through the creation of world-class developers. Selected from a rigorous selection process of 5000 applicants, Annurdien, Enrico, and Maria will learn coding, design, and professional skills development over a period of 10 months. In addition, the curriculum provided by Apple will sharpen their leadership and team-building skills, collaborate effectively, and improve their CVs. The curriculum used by Apple for this academy program is Challenge Based Learning (CBL). Thus, learning will focus on challenges.

In addition to offering quality education, Annurdien, Enrico, and Maria also receive full scholarships and monthly stipends. Apple also provides facilities such as iPhones and MacBooks to support the learning process. As a culmination of their learning experience, Apple will hold a “Talent Spark” event at the end of the learning period, where participants will be introduced to well-known companies.

The rigorous selection process involves filling out an online form containing personal data, motivation, CV, and portfolio. This is followed by the Online Entry Test and Individual Investigation Test. Next, Leaderless Group Discussion, and closed with Individual Interview. Enrico, Annuerdin, and Maria made it through all these stages, confirming their commitment to self-development and this valuable opportunity.
