Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Medicine UNY Team Explore Collaboration with PT Chosen Mitra Abadi (CMA)

A collaborative research team between the Faculty of Engineering (FT) and Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) and PT Chosen Mitra Abadi (CMA) has begun, with the aim of developing an innovative shoe product. These innovative shoes can prevent and reduce pain in the leg muscles. One of CMA's flagship products is Bocorocco, the Official Footwear Partner of the Indonesian national soccer team (PSSI) for formal and semiformal shoes, suitable for players' recovery shoes.

The visit of UNY research team was held on June 1-2, 2024, involving Dr. Noor Fitrihana, M.Eng. and Nova Suparmanto, M.Sc. from Industrial Engineering representing FT, who continued the research on traditional slippers improved with Pillow Concept Technology (PCT) from Bocorocco. In addition, there were also FK lecturers, dr. Kartika Ratna Pertiwi, M.Biomed.Sc, Ph.D., and Prof. Dr. BM. Wara Kushartanti, M.S., who discussed clinical trials for Bocorocco products. PCT itself has been patented worldwide, and Bocorocco shoes have nine insole layers for instant comfort and long-term health benefits.

On the first day of June 1, the UNY team participated in a series of Soft Launching activities at Alam Sutra Hall for Bocorocco's new products sold throughdirect selling by PT Bocorocco Entrepreneur Indonesia. This activity aims to grow one million entrepreneurs to welcome the Golden Indonesia 2045. Also present was Bambang Pamungkas, an Indonesian football legend as Bocorocco Brand Activator.

On the second day, June 2, there was a presentation, further discussion, and signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between FT-FK UNY and PT CMA forfootwear product development. The event was held at Bocorocco's new office in Jakarta with Bocorocco's top management and Owner, Mr. Ridwan Saidbun.

This collaboration marks an important step in advancing research and development in the footwear industry, utilizing the combined expertise of UNY and CMA to create innovative and ergonomic products of the future.
