Faculty of Education, Trunojoyo University of Madura visits Faculty of Engineering UNY

In an effort to expand the network of cooperation and exchange experiences in the field of education, a group from the Informatics Education Study Program, Faculty of Education, Trunojoyo Madura University visited the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University. The group was led by Vice Dean 2 of the Faculty of Education, Trunojoyo Madura University, on Friday, (17/11/2023). This visit is a means to strengthen the relationship between the two faculties and also as a form of cross-disciplinary collaboration. Also participating in the group were the Study Program Coordinator and lecturers of Informatics Education Study Program of FIP UTM.

During the meeting, Vice Dean 2 of FIP UTM, Muchamad Arif, S.Pd., M.Pd., conveyed the purpose of this visit, among others, to exchange experiences related to infrastructure management and establish cooperation. “We can adapt facilities and policies related to human resources or others that can be applied in our faculty and our study programs,” he said.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering UNY, Prof. Dr. Mutiara Nugraheni, S.TP., M.Si., welcomed the visit from the Faculty of Education Sciences UTM. “Thank you for the friendship, hopefully this is the beginning of a long journey to pour cooperation between FIP and FT UNY,” he said.

This meeting created a space for both faculties to discuss the differences and similarities in their respective educational approaches. Hopefully, the outcome of this visit can pave the way for closer cooperation in the future, which will ultimately make a positive contribution to the development of science and education in Indonesia.

On this occasion, the Faculty of Engineering of Yogyakarta State University and the Faculty of Education of Trunojoyo Madura University confirmed their cooperation relationship through the signing of a cooperation agreement. The signing was conducted by the Dean of FT UNY, Prof. Dr. Mutiara Nugraheni, S.TP., M.Si. and the Dean of FIP UTM, Dr. Hani'ah, S.Pd., M.Pd.

This agreement covers various aspects, reflecting the commitment of both parties to support each other and develop potential in the fields of education, research, and community service. The scope of cooperation includes organizing education, research and training, organizing community service, improving and developing human resource competencies, implementing MBKM, practitioner lectures, and other fields.
