THE INITIAL STEP OF ENGINEERING GRADUATES TO DEAL WITH THE CHALLENGES OF ASEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY (AEC)
The Faculty of Engineering organized a farewell ceremony for the graduates of the February 2016 period located in KPLT Building (26 / 02-2016). This is a routine ceremony of the Faculty managed by the Student Executive Board. The theme of the ceremony was The Initial Step of Engineering Graduates to Deal with the Challenges of Asean Economic Community (AEC). Banyuwangi culture was selected as the concept of the ceremony.
The Dean, Dr. Moch Bruri Triyono in his speech congratulated all graduates and expected them to continue improving their skills and competence. "We deals with the era of challenges and competition, hopefully we all become the winner," said the Dean.
168 students were graduated in this period and 18 students among them graduated with the Cum Laude predicate.The event was also enlivened by music performance from the music community of the Faculty and the Banyuwangi traditional dance.
The Special awards were administrated to the graduate with the highest GPA, the most active graduate in organizational activities, the most outstanding graduate and the best graduates in every study Program. The graduate with the highest GPA was Meri Andani from the study program of Fashion Design Education, with a 3.80 GPA. Ahmad Lutfiyanta from the study program of Civil Engineering and Planning Education who was the Student Executive Board member of 2014 received the award as the most active graduate in organizational activities, while Muhamad Iskandar from the study program of Mechatronics Education who had achieved remarkable national and international level achievements was selected as the most outstanding graduate.
